Pleasantville } { Why don't they help us?
[Days go by, and when Bonnie tries knocking on the doors of neighbors, inquiring about the situation and asking for help, she is greeted with Betty Crocker casseroles and Stepford Wife smiles. She's almost certain she's stepped onto the set of a movie set in the 1950s.]
Buffy?
[She walks inside, carrying a bag of groceries. There'd been cash sitting in a desk drawer of what is apparently their house (she's still not sure about that), enough to cover some basic necessities. Today, she'd decided to try and go into town. Everything was too clean, too perfect, everyone smiled at her too much. It was eerily cheerful, and this was coming from Bonnie McCullough.]

[she and the little boy are playing catch. It seems like the fitting in thing to do, and it let her get eyes on some of their neighbors. And needless to say, it was ... weird.]

Still, whatever the situation, Bonnie's growing fond of the kid, and so she gives him a little smile and a pat on the head as he runs over to give her a hug.]

[she tosses the ball in one hand as the kid abandons her, just getting used to the feel of it]
Surprisingly our neighbors aren't all that nosy.

[The boy gets his hugs out and runs back over to play more ball with Buffy. Bonnie watches him, a little thoughtfully, before turning back to Buffy.]

[She's been feeling unusually nurturing over the past few days, and she isn't sure why. But for some reason, the urge to make a sandwich for the pair is suddenly overwhelming.] What sounds good to you?
